Femina Miss India 2020 competition took place on February 11, 2021. Three women emerged as winners in the beauty pageant. Manasa Varanasi was crowned the winner of VLCC Femina Miss India World 2020.
Contestants Manika Sheokand and Manya Singh went on to become Miss Grand India 2020, and Miss India 2020 Runner-up, respectively as Manasa gears to represent India at the 70th Miss World.
The contest is scheduled to be progressed in four phases with Audition, Entrance, Finale, and Grand Finale. The Contest was held on in Mumbai Hyatt Regency Hotel.
FEMINA MISS INDIA
Femina Miss India 2020 was the 57 editions. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic for the first time in history, the contest was held on Digitally.
WINNER MANASA VARANASI
Manasa Varanasi from Telangana has been crowned for VLCC Femina Miss India 2020 on Wednesday. A 23-year-old engineer graduate from Hyderabad who will represent the country.
Manasa was a shy child and thus always preferred to express herself through Bharatnatyam and Music. Apart from this, her interest in reading books, dance, yoga, and nature.
During her college days she participates in pageants she started focusing on modeling at the age of 21. Manasa is inspired by Bollywood actress and miss world 2000, Priyanka Chopra. In an interview, she said Out of all the beauty queens Priyanka Chopra really stands out for me.
She has always chosen to push her boundaries and made her mark in various spaces like movies, music, entrepreneurship, social work, and the list goes on. I always looked up to Priyanka for the outspoken influencer that he was.
It is her versatility and strength that I draw inspiration from. Manasa defeated a total of 14 other contestants from different states to bag the coveted title.
RUNNER-UP MANYA SINGH
Miss India runner-up Manya Singh daughter of an Autorickshaw driver. She also made everyone proud even if she did not bag the crown.
Manya revealed I have spent numerous nights without food and sleep she does not attend school in teenage she starts working. All the clothes I had were hand me downs.
I yearned for books, but luck was not in my favor. Eventually, my parents mortgaged whatever little jewelry I had to ensure that I paid my Exam fees to earn a degree.
At age 14, I ran from home somehow managed to complete my studies. Became a Dishwasher in the evening and worked at a call center at night. I am here today at the VLCC Femina Miss India stage to uplift my father, my mother, and my young brother to show the world that all is possible if you are committed to yourself to achieve your dreams.
The jury panel consisted of actors such as Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, Pulkit Samrat, and renowned designer duo, Falguni and Shane Peacock.
